They are the same. So I pray to both.

It's called The Trinity. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Hard to understand I know. but think of it this way..... H20 is water right? Well, it can come in different forms. Ice, steam, and liquid. Same basic thing, just in different forms. =)

Okay, okay... some people don't believe in the Trinity, I forget. But I do. That's what I was raised to believe and something I will continue to believe. As long as we all agree Jesus is the Son of God, we are good right?!

I pray to God, but as a Christian, I believe in the Trinity - God in three Persons, so the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit all hear me.

Jesus Himself gave us a template for prayer, what some people call the "Our Father". He wasn't saying "pray this exact same prayer all the time", He was saying "pray in this manner". A pastor of mine once said that effective prayer goes something like this:

P - Praise (Our Father, hallowed be thy name....)
R - Repent (Forgive us our debts...)
A - Ask (Lead us not into temptation)
Y - Yield (Thy will be done....)

When I pray, I usually tend to start out with praise, repent of my own sin, make requests, then rest knowing that He knows what's best.

God is Father, Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit.
So when you pray to God you pray to them all.

Jesus is God

I pray to the Father by the Spirit in the name of the Son.

True Christian pray to God through his Son Jesus Christ.

Luke 11:2 "whenever you pray, say, 'Father, let your name be sanctified.'" This shows that prayers should be directed to God (Ps 83:18)

John 14:6,14: Jesus said to him: 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you ask anything in my name I will do it.'"

We must pray in Jesus name recognizing that as sinful humans we need his intercession on our behalf.
