That is even better, as in my past experience, I've had the problem of referring to my new partner by the name of my ex. At least in your situation even if you do make that mistake he will be non the wiser.

There is nothing you can do just get over it. If you cant then maybe your not ready for a realationship right now.
Look at it this way at least you would get kicked out of bed for calling him your ex's name lol.

It has happened to one of my friends three times! They all turned out to be similar! Now she is with a guy who does not share a name with her ex's. I think it was a bad omen atleast for her.

i'll find another one because his name will remind me of my ex and of the memories. i'll explain to him why though. then date someone else and when i get over my ex i date this guy with the same name maybe

see to be honest that would put me off a bit
i couldnt honestly say i wouldnt tar them with the same brush..
for example if my current partner had the same name as my ex i dont think it would work ,
i have a lot of pent up hatred for my ex, he left me pregnant with triplets and then continued to be mean to me.. so
in all honesty i dont know if i could handle it.

It's just a name, call him Waffle...wait don't that's my dog's name...wait...I don't have a dog. IF I HAD A DOG, I WOULD NAME HIM OR HER...Waffle...so DON'T USE WAFFLE!!!
Does it matter what his name is? You're just gonna start dating and use the name "Honey" or "Sweety" over and over, then if you get married he's gonna be "ASSHOLE!!" "JERK!!!" AND MANY MORE NAMES TO COME!!!
MY SUMMARY!! Just use nicknames if his name bothers you.

i would date him because everytime someone sais your new guys name you would still remmeber your old guy ( the 1st one) and you wont be able to get over him.
