So this guy said to me on Monday, that he's b'day was on next Friday, well, I got confused, by "next Friday", did he mean it was on the Friday this week? OR the Friday next week????

I thought if he meant Friday this week, he would have said "THIS Friday", and "NEXT Friday" meant the Friday next week. am I right?

I'm all confused, I hope I didn't miss his b'day just bcuz of the misunderstanding!!!!

Lol, um, you probably should have just asked him... because "next" might mean something different to different people.
i don't know, I think the only way of knowing is by asking him.

But "next" as in next week would make more sense. Ask him anyway though.

I agree - the normal meaning would be the Friday in the next week, but he could have meant the coming Friday.

You can't be sure.
