No, it was a ceasefire and the war is technically not over. We couldn't do it without nuking China. Mac Arthur wanted to but cooler heads prevailed.

No, because the U.S. is still over in Korea. The only thing that stopped is the fighting, the issues which cause the war has NOT been resolved.

Question why was The U.S. still there after WW2. Korea was separate because half was Communist and The U.S opposed Communism. Could also wonder if it does not seem odd for half of a country to invade the other. Something seems fishy about the sequence of events detailed even if no ''victory'' occured. U.S. stuck in Cold War attituides still needs to loosen up. U.S. is interferring in affairs of country and while pretends to help is not interested in self determination of Korea.

No, the 38th parallel is a testament to this failure.
The "Zoo" is like visiting a parallel universe where hysterically funny taunting by DPRK is a daily occurrence in an effort to rile-up the ROK and American troops stationed along the DMZ. I recommend visiting the DMZ for anyone that gets a laugh out of how unfair and ironic the world is truly is.

we prevented North Korea from taking over South Korea. That is why the US went there. I think we won, and South Korea won.

I wouldn't compare the lies and scandals. Lies and scandals are open for debate and cause a lot of division with out making any progress. I would lay down a list of pros and const look at economic policies and ethical issues, expertise in warfare and diplomacy etc and go from there.

There was never a war in Korea. It was called the Korean conflict. So we could not win or lose it.

It ended in a truce. The goal was to stop NK from invading SK, not to unite the two.
