That is the problem with the BMI calculator... it doesn't take into account muscle and is useless if you have more muscle than the average person does.

BMI is a joke...it means nothing because it simply does not take fat % or muscle % into account. According to BMI, a 6'0 bodybuilder that is 250 pounds of pure muscle is just as out of shape as a 6'0 truck driver that eats doughnuts for lunch everyday and weighs 250 pounds. There is NO difference between the two according to BMI.

Also, I remember reading a year or two ago, that according to BMI over half of the NFL players are obese. Not just fat but OBESE! It's a joke, and means nothing without knowledge of fat %.

The inventors of the BMI calculator admit there are some flaws with it. that's why they do have warnings that sometimes it is inaccurate if you are an athlete and have a lot of muscle.
