are the patches just from being irritated? or r they like cancer

The patches are chemical burns from the tars and nicotine in the tobbacco, and the increased constant cycle of injury and repair can lead to cancer.

It can be from either one. There is no exact time limit, everyone's body reacts differently. But, all the problems that comes from it are horrible. Facial cancers can be so bad, I saw some people who'd had them removed in my mom's doctors office. It was very scary. Not to mention the dental problems, I have a customer with black teeth, no lie, from the chew.

It's usually considered to be a precursor to cancer. It is from the irritation, yes. But I'd get them checked out anyway if you have them. Only a doctor can tell the difference between the two.

i have chewed for 3 years and i dont have any patches i believe though if it does get white or black you should get it checked. my gum just gets raw and gets torn up.
