Make your lover a Baked Alaska and they will flip for it.
Cut a sponge or angelfood cake into 1/4 inch thick slices. Cut the carton away from a pint of their favorite ice cream and stand it a slice of cake the same size, in the center of a plate. Cover the ice cream with the slices of cake, trimming it to fit. Drizzle with liqueur. Freeze it. Whip four room tempurature egg whites in a clean bowl with clean beaters or a clean whisk. Any oils or yolk will prevent the whites from frothing. Beat until foamy. Beat in 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar until stiff. Slowly add in 1/2 cup of 10X sugar and beat on high until stiff and shiney. Beat in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Preheat oven to 450. Spread the meringue over the frozen cake. Bake 5 minutes or until browned. Serve immediately

You can make meringues out of the egg whites, or coconut macaroons, or an all egg white omelet. Normally, if I only have one or two egg whites left over from a recipe, I'll add a whole egg to it and make an omelet.

the white part is often used for making frostings or meringue cookies, which are composed of mainly sugar and egg whites.

Save it for breakfast. Add it to an omelet. Can be frozen for later use in making a mergine.
