You can choose from a tons and tons of products in the market. But there are things that you also need to do in order to maintain oil in your scalp- use only a gentle and mild shampoo and use it only twice a week depending on the climate and your activities. Use conditioners more. Also have at least a once a month "hot oil" or "hair spa" treatments from your salon. If you prefer natual remedies you can use coconut cream/milk instead of going to a salon. Leave the coconut cream or milk on your hair for 20 minutes. -yunesa@yahoo.com

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.
First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)
Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)
Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)
Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short
Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften & remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!
The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower
You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.
When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo & condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years
You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

First of all, don't wash your hair every day-buy a good natural bristle brush and brush it 100 strokes every day to distribute the natural oils-you will soon determine how often you need to shampoo.
Aussie makes a product called 3 minute miracle and there is a formula called Deeep-it is a wonderful conditioner for strengthening and repairing.
But the best thing you can do is a hot oil treatment. I use regular olive oil (not extra virgin)-just warm it slightly, slather through hair and cover with plastic film and a towel. Leave on 20-30 minutes and then shampoo. For your dry hair I would start with once a week.

dont use any shampoo conditioner combined into one product.. thats the first problem
other than that.. chances are they want you to buy soemthing from the salon - its their business
get a shampoo and conditioner for dry hair... you dont have to get the salon brands.. you can go to walmart and get some
i wouldnt exclude pantene tho.. get the hydrating one if you do.. or pantene restoratives
also some to try would be dove advanced care, infusium, tresseme, suave professionals (if you dont have much money), mark anthony, rusk, nexxus, john freida
i have dry hand damaged hair from bleaching and over styling and i started taking better cvare of it by not styling it with heat so much and bleaching it and my hair is now soft and smooth and not dry and i use usually dove or infusium
also you could do a hot oil treatment.. they sell them at most stores and are pretty cheap.. they add vitamins and nutrients to your hair and moisture

Use professional product. I swear by Redkin heavy cream, its a deep conditioner...It comes in a gold tube. It should be available at most salons. Its good for taking care if dry hair..But if your hair is long, its naturally going to break quite a bit.
