I have a coworker that is so lazy and is bringing my department down. He is not productive and is extremely unprofessional. I have tried many things to motivate him to no avail. He's pretty much just getting a paycheck for doing nothing so he'll never quit on his own. Any ideas on how I can get him fired without implicating myself?

Pray for him and let God deal with him.

people become unmotivated for different reasons. Someday you might also experience that. Until then you have no idea what he is going through. He might be just a lazy bum who has no morals, or he might be burned out, tired of fighting in this system where your job security is constantly dangling on the line and the demands are greater each day while the rewards are shrinking. Maybe he is stuck in a job that is not a good match for him at all but he doesn't have the means to get out of it. Maybe he is depressed or has some other condition such as ADHD. I'm not trying to get him off the hook, but just wanting you to maybe consider a few possibilities you might have not thought about.
It is interesting how people are expected to not discriminate because of things like "sexual orientation"... etc... yet the same very "tolerant" people can be incredibly intolerant and even vengeful towards other people.
Getting him fired is none of your business, and stooping to that level would be an indicator of immaturity on your part.

You'll often find people as you describe.

I think the more intelligent approach would be to put your efforts towards seeking advancement for yourself.

How will "you" gain anything other than satisfaction from what you suggest?
This type of satisfaction won't be long lasting even if you do achieve it.
Within a month no one will care or remember this other person.
You may also have a replacement that has the same traits or worse.
Hey, I heard that!
They could be lazy AND make disgusting noises AND have crummy hygeine.

Your question is a little disturbing because it seems as if you want to get this person fired without anyone knowing about it. If you are sure you are doing the right and honorable thing, then surely you have no reason to hide your actions?

If you are not in charge of firing this individual, all you can do is bring their behavior to the attention of management. It is their job, and their decision, to fire him or not.

In order to get him fired would get your hands dirty and also not picking up his slack might make you look bad. If the management doesn't already realize his uselessness, document what you have to do and what he doesn't do and go to managment yourself. Remember though, the person who replaces him might be worse.
