I was told recently, by an "intuitive" that I have no soul. My family has been told this since before I was born. I have been told this all of my life by numerous people. I am not at all connected to many of the people who have told me this, and they have had no way to know anything about me either. So, how do I find more information on this & what it actually entails? I am NOT interested in ANY religious lectures. I could care less about "going to hell" or any such thing.

I am NOT interested in the religious part of it.
I am ONLY interested in the metaphysical.
My sources do not matter, and neither does any "bible".

That's weird. If we assume that most human beings do have a soul, your not having one means that you're under a serious curse.
a) your parents did something VERY evil previously to your birth, and you were born soulless
b) or you yourself did something that resulted in loss of it
or c) you're not your parents' daughter but some form of non human changeling.
Sorry no to be able to go into more detail, but I'd also have to adopt the view of some religion or other, and might get preachy.
In this world, it entails nothing, you can live like anybody, you'll just probably have much less empathy than most, but you already know that. In most myths, it's in the next world that things get hairy, as you are a supernatural being, and not susceptible to go to paradise after death... I suppose that you either go back to hell where your likes belong, or to limbo, the great nothing where creatures with no place in the supernatural order of things go.

It depends on what your definition of a soul is.
I believe a soul is energy. It is the energy that drives a human being to live.
So by my definition you are alive. You have energy within you making you live. Therefore you have a soul.
If your sources are only sensing a specific type of energy, and the type you have within you is different, then perhaps they are only missing it. It is not that it isn't there, it's more like it is a different form than what they have seen before. They are misinterpreting the situation.
If I were you I would take this as a sign that I am filled with a unique and vibrant energy (soul) that is not easily felt by sensitives. They are only human after all, and not infinitely knowledgeable.

Wow, I honestly don't know. What makes people think this assumption? Do u have a conscience? Do u care about anything in general? Your mom, do you love her? Do u have close friends that you care about, and if they did something on an accident to hurt you, would you forgive them and still be their friend? Do you cry when someone hurts you? These questions are not meant to be rood or mean. I was just wanting you to answer them, because if you say yes to these then you do have a soul, and someone has lied to you, or just trying to scare you. If you have said no, then I don't know the answer to your question. But feel free to mail me.

Scientists have literally measured the weight of a person when they are about to die and then immediately after, they have weighed them again. There is about 3 ounces that cannot be accounted for and they believe the reason is because it is the soul. When my firstborn died in my arms at the hospital, I was amazed to feel a lightening of his weight as I held him. Then I realized what I had learned on tv on that medical show and it all made sense to me. As far as religion is concerned, I believe it sends people to Hell but I do believe that God will come for me someday, the 3 ounces of me that is the real me.

So, that's where my puppet went.
*edit: I just remembered an odd thing. We had a medicine woman come over to live with us one summer, and she said the same thing about my daughter. One after the other, she hugged each of my children, but when she came to that particular one, she could not think of anything about her and said that she "couldn't read" her.
I immediately thought (this thought came into my head without me trying) of all the prayers I had done while this child was yet in my womb. Perhaps this same thing has been done to you. Did your mother or anyone else pray a lot before you were born?
Was the person who told you that you had no soul trying to "read" you? It may be that they simply came across that barrier of prayers.

well it all depends. Almost all religions are based on after lifes figures they all claim to want to be fair and just but not with some cut of the pie. So basical it doesnt mean anything since ur not religious. Do u what u want and believe what u want, life is so much easir letting others tell u what do and believe, follow own path.

As far as I'm concerned, you can kill someone (for a certain reason) and still have a soul.

I take it that having a soul is an important thing in your family. I would think that the people who tell you that you don't have one, would be the ones to give you more details. But in the end, all that matters is what is important to you. What difference will it make if you get one?

You have just as much soul as anyone else. You are a living breathing thinking person and you have a spirit inside you that animates your tissue and makes you think and speak and makes you who you are!
