You can't really live by one!

By living by one you could be taking the bible out of context. The way you could of taken it out could contradict another verse!

It would be most difficult to find a verse that would be broad enough to live by it.
I mean is it a bad thing to live by the whole bible instead of parts?

The one verse that I live by is the following:

"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them." (Matt. 7:12)

I truly believe this world would be a much better place if everyone lived by this golden rule. Treat everyone how you would want to be treated. That is with respect.

Here are some of them.

Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

James 1:2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. 7 Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil.

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Even when I'm feeling weak, I need not worry, 'cause God is still holding on to me.

my favorite is ephesians6:10-18...full armor of god.
i believe all christians should live with this armor.
another is ephesians 4:4-6.."There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;
Eph 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
Eph 4:6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."
god bless!

"My dear friends, let us love each other since love is from God and everyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. Whoever fails to love does not know God, because God is love." - 1 John 4:7-8

Everything else flows from that simple truth. Peace to you.
