what do you guys think about it? do you think it's against what God teaches, or do you think it could actually help come closer to God? what's your opinion on it(I'm only studying it, I'm not looking to become involved in it)

I checked out a webpage, and it said Eckankar is wrong,a nd that it mistakes psychic phenomenon for the presence of God, sso i guess that knd of answers my question.

It has some definite Satanic undertow...I researched it quite a bit and decided to stay away from it completely.

Are you referring to Eckankar which has been going for about forty years? This touches upon the astral travel type of out of body experience. The power to effect such activity is demonic. However, not all out of body experiences are demonic. Some are the result of mental illness and others due to severe psychological stress.
