moving from the situation is forgiving and forgetting...running up the hill and not looking back.

moving on from the person is not looking for him or her, no calls, no texting, just letting go and ready for another person.and also includes forgetting and forgiving.

Moving on from a situation is like moving on from the fact that he keeps playing video games or something all day instead of spending time with you. Or the fact that he doesn't help out as much around the house. I mean you can nag and bi-tch about that stuff all the time. But when you realize you aren't really making much head way with him, then you know you have to drop the issue after a while. Because he isn't going to change.

Now when it comes to moving on from someone, that is when you break up with them. And you totally stop thinking about them. No sexual feelings, no what if I had done this or that feelings, no what if I gave him another chance feelings. When you don't have those feelings anymore you have totally moved on. Also off of A diary of a mad black woman, as Madea said as a true way to tell you have moved on is if you get a chance to take revenge on him and you don't do it, then you know for sure you have moved on from him.

Hopefully that clears up the difference.

Your focus. You are in the situation and you are moving on from the person. When you asked "what's the difference", you have not moved on and are still in the situation.

Answers: Emotions know no difference.

Usually the situation involves the person so there is no difference depending on what is happening at the time.

Hmmm, moving on from the situation is overcoming the initial reactions, denial, anger, sadness.

Moving on from the person, is overcoming the loss of not having them in your life and being comfortable when you are by yourself and enjoying your own company.
