Sometimes the more frightening the nightmare, the more brilliant the dream...

Be them waking or sleeping nightmares, to release them, one must challenge the monsters of our making. The last nightmare I had, came in a lucid dream, years ago, and something happened of great value for my life as I was fed up with this fear that froze my Spirits growth. In this dream of running and hiding from three men, with very harmful intent towards me, I awoke in the dream somehow and turned on them and I then picked up a two by four and hands on, beat them all to a pulp then stood on the heap, howling with the strength and force of Nature herself. I was astounded at myself. Facing these 'monsters' in my dream was what I needed to do I know now, as I have not had a nightmare in over 15 years. Odd or creepy dreams maybe but nothing like the paralyzing nightmares I had for years and years.
Peace to your dreams my dear.....

well said Michelle.......well said........

It's good to talk about them, I hear.

If only to get them off your chest.

But don't make a big deal of, or *attach* to them.

Then they'll go away on their own.

Edit:

A man who I later realised must've been one of the wisest & kindest I've ever come across, once told me to talk about my issues... "Even if it be to a rock or a stone..."

I'm eternally grateful. :-)

Edit 2: Get yourself a "Dreamcatcher".

They really work!

They're little circular net-like things with a bead in the middle.

The (American) / Native Indian take is that good dreams are caught in the net, and flow down the feathers.

The bad ones are 'caught' in the bead.

I'm not usually into stuff like this, but 4-5 people I know have got them, some on my recommendation, and they've worked.

100% Success.

I've never heard a bad word said about them...

You don't, if you say your Prayers every night and keep your mind clear of all evil and serve the Lord nightmares go away, I can't remember the last time I had one, of course I am a born again Christian and have been for a long time, but bad dreams come from the devil putting stuff in your mind while you are awake then it causes you to think of them while you are in a deep sleep called Rim sleep. One way to stop them is to Read your bible daily and serve the Lord, Jesus Christ died on a cross for you and me to cover our sins, the bible says for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, In order to be saved and born again we must confess our sins to Jesus and admit that we need a Saviour. When Jesus arose from the grave the third day he forever opened up salvation to anyone who will believe. If you would like to become a child of God and be saved just say this prayer believing in Jesus, Dear Jesus, I just ask you right now to come into my life and save me, I admit and confess that I am a sinner. I believe that you came and died on a cross for my sins, and that you rose from the grave as a perfect sacrifice to cover the sins of all mankind. I do believe you are the Son of God and I ask you to make me one of your children in the Kingdom of Heaven, and be my Lord and Saviour, in Jesus Name Amen, If you Prayed this Prayer with a sincere heart you are now saved, You should feel a burden being lifted off your heart and the days will seem brighter as Christ begins a work in you, find a church, and start reading your Bible, may God Bless YOU!!! If you have any questions please feel free to email me. Mercy and Grace have been applied!!!

The only way to conquer a fear and become free of it is to face it. Yes, I would relive my nightmares.

reliving the nightmare lets you see more detail than you did the first time.

I would because once I understand a nightmare I no longer need that particular dream. I can move on to other dreams that will teach me something else I need to learn.

To understand that which we fear and that which haunts us gives us release and freedom from these things.

It is by passing back through the gate of an occurrence that you are able to truly let it fall away, now no longer a nightmare, but wisdom gained and owned....

namaste.....

I'm guessing that you are referring to Scientology and Dianetics here.

Hubbard's premise is that reliving traumatic events that are effecting your ability to live a normal life will take the power they have over you away by making you desensitized to them; thus enabling you to live a happier, and more productive life. This is why I say Scientology is more psychology than religion or spirituality.

It depends on the content. If it's too bizarre or gross or gory, then, no. Otherwise, I enjoy dream AND nightmare analysis!
