I don't think it's that big of an age difference at all. You should tell her how old you are and make sure she's okay with dating someone older.

I definitely don't think 5 years is a big deal - I'm 22 and would be fine with dating a 27 year-old..... my stepdad is 11 years older than my mom - the gap will seem like nothing in a few more years - by the time you're my parents age even 11 years doesn't seem like much haha :-)

The difference between a 22 year old and a 27 year old can be huge, or it can be nothing. Five years is entirely dependent on the two people interacting - if you both feel good about it, go for it. Just be honest with her about your age, I really doubt it will be a factor.

Your age difference is nothing to be concerned about and she'll probably find you more attractive because of it. Women actually do like older guys at that age. Keep going out with her and eventually the age thing will come up. Who cares? If she doesn't ask you why bring it up?

It totally depends on the individual's level of maturity. If she seems too young for you then maybe she is. Otherwise, just be honest and tells her. 5 years and both in your 20's is not a big deal. Believe me I dated guys older than you when i was her age.

No thats not a big age differance. when you get older the farther apart in age you are the less it matters. Like it would be differant asking if a 18yr old is interasted in a 13yr old. thats 5 yrs apart, but neither of them should be in a relationship. but its differant if you say a 25 year old was interasted in a 20yr old. both are mature, and are adults.

that's nothing. my brother who is 27 was dating an (i think) 18 or 19 year old. i mean, he was with her i think at the end of her high school years. that's more of an age difference then you two. it's not much of a difference. i like a guy who is 4.5 years older than me.

5 years is nothing (i.e. my cousin is getting married in October; she's 23 and he fiancee is 32. Thats 9 years) I don't think age matters. (unless of course its like 40 years). And if you're worried that she's worried just tell her staight. You've really got nothing to lose (whats the worst she's going to say "omg you are way too old for me...like by 5 years." I highly doubt that will happen).
Good luck!!

Five years is NOT a big deal. If everything else works in this relationship, an age difference that small will NOT be a problem.
