I will continue to work, protest, and fight until all Americans regardless of their genders are able to marry the one they love..
One day I hope to stand next to my son as he marries the man of his dreams, the proud mother of a homosexual son and son-in-law... One day I hope to be able to change the diapers of, play with and spoil their children... Whether or not he decides to attend a church is his decision.. I will support whatever he chooses..
Christians (not all but most) can not see beyond their own prejudices and see that homosexual couples(not all but most) are great parents raising bright, lovely and well-adjusted children..
If christians saw and admitted the reality they could not justify their continued illogical hate..
Addition: I welcome all thumbs downs from christians they are simply showing their prejudices.. :)

I would never stop Gay people from doing such things. If gays wish to marry someone, and they can establish a happy, monogamous home, let them do so.
Oh wait, are you talking about a gay "marrying" another gay? By definition that is NOT marriage. A secular government may choose to call it marriage, but that doesn't make it so.
Once Abraham Lincoln asked a fellow "If you call the dog's tail a 'leg', how many legs has a dog?" The man responded "Five, I suppose." To which the erstwhile Lincoln rejoined: "No. The dog still has four legs. It doesn't WHAT you call that tail, it's still a tail!"

People never agree on what "Christian" values actually are as some will endorse murder, abuse and hatred whilst others want to respect all people and to treat people with dignity and respect, personally I think that the best Christian/American are the people who respect others and treat others fairly and respectfully. Getting people to do good is always worthy unlike promoting hatred and intolerance

I'm wondering why you think Christians are trying to stop gay people from getting married, going to church or raising kids. Gay people can get married any time they want. Who's stopping them? They just cannot legally marry someone of the same sex. The last time I looked, it was the law that stops them from doing that. Christians just happen to agree with the law. I don't see why you have a problem with that. If you want the law changed, talk to your lawmakers about that. Why are you blaming Christians? Is it wrong to agree with the law of the land and not want it changed?
Who are you to say that they shouldn't voice their opinion about laws, and moral values that are important to them? Doesn't everyone do that?
Aren't you doing that with this question?

Not in my opinion - in fact, I see marriage and raising a healthy family quite separate from church and religion.

1) It's all about the intent.

I would encourage a homosexual to come to church, get married, and raise kids. That is assuming they could do it the way God set it up, with a partner of the opposite sex. If not, then celibacy is the only moral choice. I know, we can't tell someone not to have sex, they might not get to have sex then. Poor babies.
