Most Mental Health Centers in Ohio have a sliding fee or they will help you apply for a Medical Card to pay for it. Call your local hospital & ask for the number to the Hotline...they can help you. Good luck.

Depending on what exactly the problem is, there are all kinds of mental help groups on-line. You can get support from other people who are suffering in the same way... as well, in some cases, you can find therapists and counselors who might be willing to chat with you on-line.
Here is one place that offers different services: http://www.mentalhelp.net/poc/view_index.php?idx=home
Also, most cities have a Crisis Intervention Center of some sort (check your phone book) and they usually have counseling services either for free or for a rate that is based on your income.
If you are feeling suicidal, here is a hot-line you can call, and they, too, should be able to hook you up with affordable help:

A lot of areas have assistance programs and mental health often charge on a sliding scale. If you go to a community based center they'll help figure out what you can afford, and then work with you to help determine what if anything you'll have to pay for assistance. Most drug companies have assistance programs so that people who can't afford medicine can get medicine from the drug companies for free.

Many mental health centers charge according to your income, so you could pay as little as, like, 5.00, for each visit.
Check with Family Services in your area, first. They have a lot of aid to offer you, with groceries, and perhaps actual cash income type things. Also, you can get help on your utilities in your city, if you qualify due to a low income, simply by applying for it.
Hope this helps you out, and good luck!

you didnt say what exactly is going on so if your suffering from depression and need help I would take vitamins eat a good diet exercise and get out in the sun for a little while each day. The excersie will help increase endorphins and the sun increases seritonin wich if its low makes you depressed. Keep positive things going in your life. But if it is really serious You should really see if you can find one of those free clinics or advice hotlines. Or find a family member or friend who can help you out. Expecially if it is really serious. GOOD LUCK.

go to a public hospital not a private one. before you go call to make certain the hospital is not private. the hospital will have you evaluated for admission. it is very important that you be completely truthful with the interviewer. if you don't need to be admitted you will be directed to a community program that can help you. there are financial assistance program to help with the bills, find you a job and if needed a safe place to live. don't hesitate any longer to get help. if you are in dayton go to miami valley or grandview.

Go to a mental health center and they provide services based on one's income. You might not have to pay at all.

I live in Ohio, and most health and human resources have places you can contact and get free help. Just contact your closest one and see if they can help you.

Go to the Emergency Room if you are in dire medical straits.
Go to the County Health Department if it is not an immediate medical emergency.
