Anyone know how to say
'Are you Chinese' in Mandarin?
It would be helpful if anyone knew how to say it in Cantonese also.

Sorry.. this is a repeated question, but I wanted to ask one more thing, to write it in Chinese too..

Here it is (in Traditional Chinese characters):
你是中國人嗎?

你 (pronounced "ni3") means "you"
是 (pronounced "shi4") is the be-verb
中國人 (pronounced "zhong1 guo2 ren2") here refers to a person from China (or in the traditional Chinese perspective, person with Chinese ancestry)
嗎 (pronounced "ma") is a question tag.

While Singing River is of course correct, in the modern world we must recognize that not all people of Chinese ancestry are from, or live in, China. It's becoming more common to hear the question posed:
你是華人嗎?
ni3 shi4 hua2 ren2 ma5?
Where hua2 is a marker for things related to Chinese culture, not necessarily China itself.
Or if you want to get REALLY specific:
你是漢族人嗎?
ni3 shi4 han4zu2 ren2 ma5?
Are you a member of the Han ethnic group? (As distinguished from the various conquered peoples in China)
