How should I act around her and what should I talk about?

Three year olds do a lot of the talking themselves, so just talk about whatever she wants to. How to act? Be nice to her. Play with her. She'll be glad to show you her favorite toys.

How long have you been dating and are you talking marriage. ?
I suggest just be friendly , shes three , that limits the conversation a lot. If the guy talks about her much you should know what she likes or toys and stories she has.
You could always take her a cheap small toy, like a small stuffed animal.

Just act like yourself or like you do around other small kids. You could talk about shows she likes. For example my four year old nephew loves Barney and my three year old step-son likes Dora the Explorer. If she has any pets you can ask her about them. You might also want to get her gift.
I was nervous the first time I met my step-son. I started doing things with him right then and it didn't take him long to decide he liked me and he likes for me to do things with him also.

It really depends on how long you have been dating, and how serious you are. It's not too hard to interact with a three year old. I wouldn't be too touchy feely with dad at first. It would probably confuse the kid. Start out slow, and don't be surprised if the kid doesn't react warmly to you at first.

just play with her. there's nothing to talk about with a three-year-old. chase her around, blow raspberries on her stomach, tickle her , ask her how old she is.. you know just the usual. show the guy you have enough energy to run after a three year old. HAVE FUN, basically!

I do not reccomend getting involved with someones children unless you are serious and expecting to marry. After you make a solid foundation for your relationship and plan to marry its ok.
Kids are so confused anyways. What if your not the one. He is going to confuse his child.

be nice and remember when you were little and how you would want to be treated. don't spank at all. it isn't and will not ever be your place, there are ways of scolding children without mistreating them. you will do fine, just be yourself and smile. and may god bless all of you!
