I Had a nikon Cool pix p4...I bought a memory card for it. But the camera wouldnt turn on. I thought that maybe the battery was dead so i charged it. It charged for a few minutes then it said it was done charging. But the camera never turned on I even bought a new battery..nothing Ive had it for a couple of months. I got it from costco.

The battery was charged I even ordered another battery. I charged it over night and still nothing. Im just going to get my refund for the camera.

I wonder how many problems would be avoided if people simply READ their camera's Owner's Manual and any special instructions concerning charging the battery.

Yes. Cameras, like computers, calculators, toasters, coffee makers and all other electrical devices sometimes just "die".

A couple of weeks ago I was out doing some black & white film photography. I used a camera manufactured in 1956 - over half a century ago. It performed perfectly and my negatives are exactly what I wanted. To set the exposure I used a Minolta SpotMeter M.

The camera itself usually dont die before the batteries do... Sometimes its faulty parts in your camera but also not charing your batteries properly will result in perement damage to your battery (that means like 2/3 of its total capticy is lost and drains fast)
