The Apostle Paul dealt with this subject and left a good example to follow.
Christians need to educate themselves with biblical answers for the homosexual and pray for great wisdom. We will see more of this as the world continues its course until the time of the end.

I am not afraid to reach out to homosexuals. I have a godson who is homosexual. He and I have talked at length about the situation. As a matter of fact I am the first person he came out to and he said he did it because he knew that as a Christian I would love him no matter what. He was right, I took it much better than either of his parents did and actually was a safe haven for him for awhile. I am honest with him though and have told him how I feel about this lifestyle that he has chosen. God hates sin not sinners. So too should we.

I used to be but not any more. Just as jesus hung out with sinners I need to see past the sin of homosexuality and see the person that needs Christ. (as with the drug adict, or the homeless person, or the guy in the mirror that is over weight).
It's about self control issues, and this is what we need to work on with God, and each other.
I am not condoning homosexuality (nor not taking care of my body). However God has specific guidelines regarding specifics of the human condition, immorality being one of them. It must be delt with, and not allowed to be apart of the fellowship of God (see 1 Cor 5).
If ur gay (or thing ur gay, or believe God made you gay...etc...)
and you also believe in Jesus, you have to make a choice as to how you will live your life. I can learn to say no to the cake, same sex relationships are much more complicated that food, and require a deeper commitment to the truth.
Anyway, I hope this helps (i'm sure I just scratched the surface) any Gay person that wants to have a dialogue about why I believe it is wrong to be Christian and gay write me. (I accept e-mails) please be real and no hate mail cause I'm not gonna go there unless ur serious and have legitmate questions, or just want to share your thoughts without being ugly.

Not all Christians are afraid to reach out to the gay community.
That was my first area of ministry, some 25 years ago.

Reaching out to homosexuals on Answers is heart wrenching and scary to say the least. Their comeback is full of hate.
I guess I should not get discouraged and give up. Even if it turns 1 person to God's word I have done good.
On the flip side I have a nephew who is literally dying of AIDS as we speak. He is begging for our prayers because he knows that he knows the truth. Jesus has already set him free if he were to but ask for it.
which he is.
It's a different story when you're lying in a hospital bed knowing you are about to die and you think well maybe God is real. Should I ask Him into my heart? Am I sorry for my years of sin? Does God really think this is an abomination?
Think about it please. I know the pain and anguish of this first hand.

I'm not afraid at all to reach out to homosexuals. As a matter of fact, I have several friends who are gay. I don't fear or hate the sinner, but hate the sin. I love all people and reach out whenever I can.

I am not afraid to reach out to homosexuals and minister to them. They are people in need of God, just like I am- I am a sinner saved by the grace of God, through the shed blood of Christ- so can homosexuals be. The sin is what needs to be addressed, however, we have to remember that all of us are sinners. There are too many people who think that homosexuals are far from grace- no farther than we are. We need to reach out to them, so they will come to know Jesus. How about starting now!!!!!

I'm not. We invite anyone who wants to come to the church to come and hear the gospel message that God loves you just the way that you are but He loves you too much to leave you the way that you are. My Pastor preached some sermons aimed at speaking to homosexuals.

Jesus Came To Save Those That Were Lost..Why do those that are well or of no need of a physican need a doctor...He came to minister to those that were sick (In the Body,Mind...etc)...God loves ALL People and Sent HIS SON To ALL. Being Homosexual Is no different then being a drug addict, obese, gambeling,Anything
that Gluttony would be described as. It can be anything you let have control over your life.
