Yep!! Look at the stats & what put him back in points----engine failure. He has done his job above & beyond the norm. Even though he is leaving DEI next year, he still gets in that 8 & drives the wheels off it. I know a lot of ya'll don't like him, but did any of ya'll listen to the broadcasters in any of the last 4 races?? Junior is a hell of a driver. All u doubters, just sit back & watch next week. Remember, he has a fine tuned machine with his entire crew. Not one of them has given up either. He had some help & gave some help except for "Mr. Ky Busch" who has a serious ego problem & thinks he is a gift to NASCAR. What would of hurt him to let Junior have 2-3 laps?? Not a thing. But, it just shows he is not!! one of the nice guys!!
Junior will be there!!

Kevin Harvick - 2893 -694 (+9)
Martin Truex Jr - 2892 -695 (+8)
Kurt Busch - 2884 -703 (0)
Dale Earnhardt Jr. 2726 -861 (-158)

1st : 185 points, 43rd: 34 points (Laps not included)

Difference: 151 points.

One of the three drivers above him needs to have two bad races, while Jr needs to be 2 stong weeks.

Busch? Probably not. He has been running strong.
Truex? Same as Busch, been running strong to be able to stay 11th.
Harvick? He has had a lot of ups and downs lately. Possible he might have problems the next two weeks.

Jr could get in. The chances? Not great.

Jr would actually have to WIN a race to have a chance at the chase. The field for the chase is pretty much set.

I'm a Jr fan, and I doubt it. Would be nice. Is still possible, but he'd have to have everything go perfect for him the next 2 races. And with the engine troubles they've had Fontana will be a tough track for them.

No, thank God! We'll have a few months of not hearing about The Brat morning, noon and night. At least until Daytona when the media cranks up the propoganda machine again :^(

I'm a Dale Jr. fan, but I don't think he will. Unless he has awesome performances at California and Richmond.

Only time will tell. We all will know tomorrow for sure. I know he hasn't given up and will try his hardest to get into the chase. He will definitely need a good finish tomorrow at California!

Congratulations to Jeff Burton!!!!!!
