WOW!!!!! That was scary!!! I'm sure he will be ok thanks to the safer walls at California. He will probably be real sore and maybe a broken leg but over all very lucky!!!!
WhooHoo Congratulations to Jeff Burton!!!!

that was one of the worst wrecks I have seen in quite some time. At least he was able to put the window net down and was alert (awake and alert? If your alert doesnt that mean your awake? lol) Looked like he was favoring his left leg a little bit though (if you were able to see through the mess of officials legs), looked like he was keeping his left foot off the ground. I would be amazed (although I dont like saying this) if he walked away without any broken bones.....

WOW!!! Your telling me !
They had a wreck pretty much like that in the ARCA race last night as well from Gateway. The guy also went airborne .
Thank God for the safer walls

He broke his Ankle, His helemt is also being sent in for testing, They think he may have suffered a concussion because of the hard impact on the helmet. Thank god Brad is alright and it was nothing to serious.

The safer barrier did it's work. ESPN says hes awake and OK as you probably know. Kudos to NASCAR for all the safety innovations that saved him from at least major injuries.

That was worse than Earnhardt Sr's wreck in 2001 at Daytona! I hope he's ok, too!

No doubt, that was wicked bad! Hate to see a wreck like that and at that angle.
They just said he's awake and alert, being flown out for further observations.

That was definitely a hard hit, and I'm surprised that he could actually be alert and conscious after that. It just goes to show you how many safety improvements there have been in NASCAR, and thank goodness for that.
