Isn't the point of asking a question to gain knowledge? If we know the answer, we shouldn't be asking in the first place, right?
That said, things like evolution claiming we came from monkeys and internal organs spontaneously coming into existence were things I was taught in 5th grade through 9th grade science classes. (Yes, I rode a dinosaur to school. So what? :-P hehehe)
Perhaps we should be addressing what is being taught before we condemn people for repeating them.

Did you know that there is a difference between monkeys and apes? The difference being that monkeys have tails and apes do not. Most questions are asked with an idea of what the answer is. But "we" need confirmation of out ideas. However a much more intense question flared up in my mind and it has more to do with where we are going than where we came from.

I understand evolution and I think that it should be taught as a scientific theory. I think there is plenty of proof that adaptation within species occurs. There are huge gaps, however that interspecies evolution has ever occured and if we are going to teach evolution in schools we need to teach everything, which includes its many flaws. My issue with evolution in schools is that too many times it is taught as law and fact and not as theory. There is sooo much we still dont know. I do believe in the Bible but I dont have the slightest clue how God technically created the earth. Science and religion doesnt have to fight each other. But both science and religion has to be sincere in its findings and its teachings. There is no reason why religious people need to keep evolution out of science class. There is also no reason why evolutionists have to keep creationism out of cultural geography and history classes. Each can be taught in its proper places and it its proper contexts.

I don't think i have evolved far enough to understand your question. i can say that there is no missing link. it has never been found and won't be.
the fact is that there is alteration within species. Ie. the snake did once have legs. take an xray of one and you will find appendages.
However, there is no way a snake was once another animal. you see if we came from fish, for instance, the change would have to occur in a nanosecond. you could not 'evolve' from breathing through water to breathing through air over time.
it's impossible.

Somebody just asked one...well, after this question I guess, saying, Why don't Middle Eastern people have darker skins than Africans, since they it's sunnier and hotter in the Middle East?
Obviously this person didn't have a very good grasp of climate or geography...but they persist in their idiocy anyway. Go figure.

I've thought about it and I don't agree with it. There are many things I see in our world and solar system and past that lead me to believe that there is some really crazy stuff going down. I don't know what is going on but I'm certain that we did not evolve on our own up to this point. I believe in some degree of creation, and I believe there is a scientific explanation for it. Were we meant to figure it out? I don't think so.

So you're saying, why do people ask questions about the beginning of the earth as if they were there and knew the answer? If so, i agree completely, because nobody knows the definite answers to any of the questions in this category.

I don't know how we came to be exactly but I believe the Bible. I also know that I am an evolved human - my Wisdom teeth fused into something that shouldn't be, but is. How and why did that happen? Don't know. Just hope that I don't have to have them capped. It will cost me a fortune.

Well I know what Minnie believes as a "Good Christian woman" She advocates me being shot because I got frustrated with my dog not being teritorial, and I want her to protect our home. But as Minnie states she truly has no faith not even about her teeth. I have been helping alot of people with things they could not afford to get fixed like plumbing or electrial items in their homes. Mostly elderly women on fixed incomes. I just happen to have some one pay for 3 gold crowns two bridges and all my teeth to be refilled. This is costing 5 thousand that I could not afford. So my only claim was treat others as you would want to be treated. I did tell every one that she needed to have the demons pryed out of her yahoo with the cross that she wears around her neck and that was in anger, But I do not claim spiritual perfection like she does and I cliam progress. But like I said any one who is mean spirited and claims their saintlyhood is no saint. My claim is a thoughtful caring person walking through life. Sometimes idiots like her p*ss me off but I then realize they are working on superstition as they did in the dark ages. Christians during the dark ages believed if they bathed they would be sure have demons attack them. This is well known and that is why they killed for purfume and spices. Then they go searching around the other side of the world and land on the carribean and kill those poor people who were supposedly Godless. The inquisition the sluaghter of thousands of natives, the slavery of its only kind in the history of man of racism and as property, all perpetuated by christians. The Romans did own slaves but they were able to buy thier freedom if they gathered the money. They were not also property like the slave were here in the Americas and each generation after. So as far as Christians go I have little respect for any who are like Minnie and any one who does not follow Christ. His most importamt commands were love God with all you Mind soul and strength, and to love your nieghboor as you would yourself. Minnie has no love for herself becuase she also made a lie against me. If you want to follow the history Go to my question I posted about my dog. You will see her true Christianity in action.

I think you have a legitimate point. Everyone is entitled to their own belief and should not patronize the beliefs of others ESPECIALLY if they do not understand the concept in the first place.
