I want to run every day for an hour, but I'm wondering if that is over doing it? Is it better to run every other day and do strength training on the odd days?

to see results you have to do cardio 4-6 times a week for average of 45min. you can do 60min but never go over an hour - you will burn muscle instead of fat this way. have at least one day a week for rest.
do light weight training a few times a week - never work on the same muscle group two days in a row.

No way! Getting exercise is never bad, and running is a great way to stay in shape.
However, running puts a lot of impact on your knees which might lead to some aches and pains in the future... so maybe try doing the ellipticals or precor instead of a treadmil or outside.

no, cardio is the number one exercise you should do. you're supposed to do it at least 3-5 times a week for 30 mins. minimum. there is nothing wrong with running every day! ideally, i would run every day! but i'm not that motivated!

ummm... no
cardio is one of those exercises you can do everyday and thats good for you too
run for only 1 hour though at a time don't go past an hour and decide to do 2 hours straight and if you are a beginner i would suggest taking breaks in the middle
but overall yes you can run for an hour a day everyday
