I had to really think about this for a while...
Offends me? No.
Bothers me? Yes.
However, I am willing to withhold my judgment until I can ask about it from the source. By then, I'm sure it won't even bother me.

sweet to the taste, bitter to the stomach. a double edged sword, cuts both ways. The bible doesn't offend anyone except ignorant sinners. When you shed light on an offenders offenses, they get all upset, because they have been exposed. The bible exposes all sin and ignorance for all of humanity from Adam to the last human that will ever be born, so for all who are true believers, the bible cannot be an offense, because no matter how much the truth hurts, we have to accept all of it. As for unrepentant sinners who will never mature mentally and accept Gods word, there will be a day to come that they too will kneel down and confess that Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and that Gods word is absolute truth.

There are passages that I have had TROUBLE with. But I've read books on them, researched literal translations, and prayed about them. With more understanding of the hard passages and the times they were set in, it made it a lot better to catch what they really meant and why I shouldn't get upset about it. I have examples (homosexuality, the women thing, a band of youths getting mauled by bears, sodom and gomorrah...), but what do you care? You're one of those who is on here to argue with Christians and try to disprove the whole thing. If I had a cool example, you'd still give the best answer to the smart *** atheist who writes one line and blows it off with an "I know everything" type answer, wouldn't you?

I understand that Hell was originally created only for Satan and his demons.
Although I love God, I hate the fact that not everyone will be able to enter into heaven.
I think that is one reason why there is a divide between heaven and hell (see the Book of St. Luke). The divide is there, not only to keep the people in hell out of heaven, but to keep those who enter into heaven from going to hell.
I hate the idea of anyone suffering and God knows how I feel about this.

No. I'm a Christian and I understand the historical way in which the Bible was framed. It was written at different times for different societies. I follow the example of Jesus as it applies to my life in today's world.

I don't "disagree" with anything in the Bible. I find some things harder than others to contemplate and accept. Cannibalism is one of those things. I have concluded that the people of those times were incredibly hard and rebellious for the Lord to go to that kind of discipline. How far away from that are we now in our own time I wonder?

women were not allowed to speak in public at all during Jewish/ early Christian times. it was just their culture. No big deal.
People have used passages that speak of this to say they shouldn't speak or be leaders in the church today. actually they were leaders in the church under Paul and Peter.
It does annoy me that people pull Scripture out of context so i guess it isn't the Scripture but ignorance that annoys me.

1Co 5:12 It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning. 13 God will judge those on the outside; but as the Scriptures say, “You must remove the evil person from among you.”
I don't like to judge
