Only a psychiatrist or a doctor can give you a prescription to antidepressants. A normal doctor will only give you the pills, while the psychiatrist will also give you that "whole talk therapy thing". Just go to your doctor and explain him your situation, what meds you're on, etc... And tell him it isn't working right anymore and that you need a change. Good luck!

To other Psychiatrists, of course. It's not wise to treat yourself as you are too close to the problems to see them objectively. I believe that they need to go on a regualr basis just to keep from getting tooo depressed from listening to other folks problems all the time.

all therapists and psychiatrists need to go to a session every week. listening to people is more stressful then you would believe. i am not one, so i dont know from personal experience. it would just be hard to have all of that on your shoudlers.

They are required to attend at least one therapy session a week with another therapist. But I had a few as customers when I was reading cards at Rock-a-tiki.
