i know i could buy it, i mean another way? wish i knew some one who has bought the software, but even then i guess that too would be illeagl, please help me, thank you.

best i could say is get an oem version from tigerdirect.com or a local computer store a real computer store not bestbuy or circuitcity.

no the only way to get it legally is by purchasing it. i agree windows xp if fine and vista is a little too expensive

Using free and legal to describe Vista in the same sentence is an oxymoron. Microsoft wants to make money from it. They ain't giving it away.

it is illegal if u do not buy it, there is no way around that. stop being a cheap-a** and go out and buy a oem copy of vista, u can get it for $100.
