TV is overrated in general. I don't have one. I read instead. Plenty of good books for atheists.

I simply change the channel. But I also have a child and I feel that I should not impose my beliefs on her. Just as my Catholic mother allowed me to make a choice and follow it, I want to do the same for her. If she shows interest, I might keep the channel on, but generally, because it is all propaganda, I tend to steer clear of it and switch the channel to PBS so she can watch "Curious George". I am against mainstream religions forcing their beliefs on American children. My own mother quit attending her church because they kept trying to intimidate her into baptizing my daughter (who is 4 yrs old) after I had made it clear that this would be something my daughter would decide on, not us or some church. But Myth Busters is a wonderful show, both me and my daughter watch it.

Well, I don't think there could be a TV show for atheists, as we're a pretty diverse group. Besides, I'm either at work or sleeping when these shows are on. Let the godbotherers have their fun.

Ummm...is someone forcing you to watch these shows? Personally, I ignore them and shudder at the idea of a Catholic channel and never let my tv stop on it. Here in Minnesota there is a show for atheists on the public access channel. Don't know if there are any others in the country.

Well, yeah. I'd like to think that atheists spend a little more time reading (there's plenty of good rational, logical literature out there) than watching TV. I could be too optimistic though.

No way!... I LOVE these shows. Not only do they remind me that I made the right choice to leave their religion, it's also quite entertaining!
I love how a 'blessed green handkerchief', mini-squirt bottle of holy water, 'touching the TV screen', and all that other stuff can miraculously HEAL me.... just send $9.95 + shipping and handling.... LOL
The kids are brain-washed, definitely, but when they grow up, hopefully they'll see the truth... I certainly did. But heah, if they don't, oh well.... it's survival of the fittest anyway, right?! lol

I find those shows annoying, but I find it even more annoying when I can't find my remote so I could change the channel. But there are plenty of other shows for atheists to watch.

I hate targeted marketing much more than I hate religion. Every time I see something that isn't tailor-made to fit the twenty-something mold I happen to fit in, I breathe a sigh of relief.
I hope there's never shows for atheists.

I am an atheist, and christian tv shows don't bother me at all. I can change the channel if I want. I can turn off the tv if I want. There are much better things to do than watch tv.

I don't know about that. I find shows like that to be freakin' hilarious! Superstitious half-wits dancing around like their butts are on fire or flopping around on the ground like a fish out of water? That's quality entertainment!
