If they're used right, they're totally pain free. Maybe she inserted TO FAR, otherwise, no, I've never heard of such a thing. Tampons are way more comfortable than pads, that make you feel like your wearing a diaper. Try The ones called Pearl, they're the easiest to use. Walmart had sample boxes in the stores for under $1.00.
You can also visit walmart.com, and select, NEW IN STORES with your curseur, and a dropbox will fall underneath, then click onto SAMPLES. Check that often because there is always new samples on there from week to week, many of them being tampons. That way you can try a variety for free. Good luck.

aw, poor thing. Yes you're supposed to break the hymen (cherry), otherwise it won't be entering the vagina, you see? which it has to do in order to absorb the blood. They only hurt a little, and it's over quickly, women threw out history have had to do it when they first have sex, and now us modern women do it to avoid wearing the diapers we call pads. ^_^ The way some people do it is find it with their finger, and break it that way, much less tricky then with a tampon. And it opens the fine world of masturbation. not to be crude or anything. lol.
And most people still would consiter you a virgin by the way, it's a medical thing, so it's natural. don't worry. ^_^

Here's the medical scoop.
The entrance to the vagina is protected by a membrane called the hymen. Normally, this has a large enough hole
for menstrual fluid to come out, and for you to insert a tampon.
In some women, the membrane is tougher or smaller than average, making it difficult to insert a tampon, let alone a penis!
In others, through physical activity [ or masturbation ], the membrane is already stretched.
About half of women will experience bleeding the first time they have intercourse.
Most women with intact hymen will feel discomfort the first time they use a tampon - [ lube it with a little vaseline ].
If the hymen entrance is as big as your finger, you can use a tampon [ get a mirror and look! ]

Don't worry about it, it does not hurt at all. Girls can break their hymen or "pop their cherries" by exercising or doing sports. It does not hurt at all. You may have already done it and don't even know. Tampons are a wonderful thing in my opinion, you have nothing to be worried about using them just as long as you don't keep it in there for more than 8 hours!

Yeah, that is normal, popping your cherry means the hymen breaks which can even happen by exercising some girls are even born without a hymen! Just because you pop your cherry that doesn't mean you aren't a virgin. No, they don't hurt if you put them in right. I use both pads and tampons because u can get TSS and it's uncomfortable to wear them all the time. You can start wearing tampons but, I wouldn't wear them all the time and don't wear them to bed. http://www.kotex.com/na/products/tss.asp?WT.srch=1&WT.mc_id=28449&IQ_ID=28449

I would skip the tampons unless you use the OB brand which is designed to fit you--and by a woman....
However, considering the risk of possible toxic shock syndrome----and the fact that this fluid is supposed to leave the body.... 1. PRACTICE GOOD HYGIENE
2. CHANGE OFTEN, AND BATHE MORE...
3. USE PADS THAT ARE WINGED AND SCENTED...
YOU WILL FEEL BETTER AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT BREAK THROUGH BLEEDING
AS TO CHERRY POPPING--WELL THAT REQUIRES THE USE OF A PHALUS...ALWAYS

When your friend said 'popped her cherry', she means she lost her virginity, but most people do not consider using a tampon losing your virginity. When I first used them, yes it hurt, but after the first time it never did again. If you get confused or don't know what you are doing, ask your mom, friends, or doctor for help. Don't worry because all women have gone through this at one point.

Okay, you did know that you were in the hair topic right??? But to answer your question you can not pop your hymen by using tampons. That only happens during intercourse. Also, they don't hurt unless you insert them incorrectly or if they are too big. Just start out with the slim or regular sized ones and you'll be alright.

No lady a tampon should not do that(pop your cherry) i recommend that you get some regular pearl tampons and some non-scented pantyliner and only wear pads at bed time so you won't leak. Hope this helps.

u can't pop ur cherry with a tampon. It was probably the blood from her period. They don't really hurt, but they feel kinda weird when ur first start using them, but u get used to it.
