I have a homework, but I'm kind of lost. Please help!!
Directioin: Reaction papers must include both OBJECTIVE and SUBJECTIVE elements, that is, clear statements of what the assigned or chosen "target material" means and how the "target material" related to the course (the OBJECTIVE part) Plus, your personal intellectual and/or emotional reactions (the SUBJECTIVE part) to the "target material".
Write only 4 paragraphs, following these guidelines:
Paragraph 1: State briefly the them (main concept) of the "target material" (Objective)
Paragraph 2: Present two (2) details (examples or illustations) of the theme from the "target material" or from your personal experiance. (Objective)
Paragraph 3: Report the way(s) in which the course lectures and/or the textbook's author agrees or disagrees with the theme you states in Paragraph 1. (Objective)
Paragraph 4: State and explain your intellectual reactions and/or your emotional reactions to either Paragraph 1 or 3. (Subjective)

paragraph 1: What is this paper about? What are you trying to prove?
paragraph 2: Present your evidence (2 types). Objective means without personal bias, in this case. (Make sure you give credit to your sources.)
paragraph 3: Show how your teacher or author of your textbook agrees or disagrees with what you are trying to prove.
paragraph 4: Make closing statements. This is where you get to say what you believe (as a result of what you have researched).
At least, that's how I would interpret it.

This should get you off the ground. However, it won't write your paper and any prof worth their salt will know where these words came from.
Objectivity: A quality in a literary work of impersonality, of freedom from the expression of personal sentiments, attitudes, or emotions by the author. In much contemporary CRITICISM objectivity is a desirable quality in art.
Subjective: A term frequently used in CRITICISM to denote writing that is expressive in an intensely personal manner of the inward convictions, beliefs, dreams, or ideals of the author. Subjective writing is opposed to objective, which is impersonal, concrete, and concerned largely with NARRATIVE, analysis, or the DESCRIPTION of externalities. One might, for instance, speak of the subjective element in Shakespeare's SONNETS and the objective qualities of The Rape of Lucrece; the first tells of Shakespeare's reflective spirit; the second retells an old Roman story.
Another way of seeing the distinction between subjective and objective is to associate subjective with the seer of an object or the reporter of it and objective with the object seen or reported. If the emphasis is on the response of the reporter, the work is subjective; if it is on the object reported, the work is objective.

First thing to do is to choose the target material... then answer the questions.
Obviously, you should choose one of the assigned texts rather than trying to find one yourself. Go get one of the assigned text and read it.
Then write 4 paragraphs.. targeting the key elements described at ..."follow these guidelines".
Good luck. Head down, turn off MSN and Y!A, myspace and 360 .... and get into it.. should take 45 minutes.

1. Summarize the reading (either in form of its plot, if any, or overall theme, not sure what is desired).
2. Evidence in the form of quotes or summaries that support the theme above
3. Simply talk about the reading's theme and its relationship to what you've been taught through lecture or textbook (from unbiased sources, basically).
4. Your feelings and thoughts about the theme and/or your feelings about how it is proven or unproven by the sources in 3.
