Oh yes and what does a rose quartz represent? By the way I can't have something that obviously has something to do with witchcraft. My family is Christian so I have to keep everything secret. Just to show how extreme they are they think my uncle is possesed.

Umm, I'm not a Pagan, but I could tell you what rose quartz is good for. You missed a chance at a few good answers when you "yelled" NO CHRISTIANS!

Just because I believe in God does not mean that I am ignorant of all other religions or belief systems. I probably know more about what you call "witchcraft" than you do. I've studied several forms of Paganism fairly extensively, and I have several Pagan friends.

I've included a fairly useful link for you, even though you stated in your question that I may not answer you.

In the future, you may want to avoid alienating entire groups of people if you want to get a fair balance of answers.

Rose quarts is for love. The self-love, light, happy kinda a love, not the passionate kind. That would be something red. The darker the better for passion. Rose quarts brings out the inner peace and well-being of a person, if worn, or of the home, if left around the house. A good thing to have on the front door.

And if you are legal age, leave home.

22 year practicing Pagan. Email me if you want support.

Greetings!

Many Christians use Crystals, many Folks, including Pagans have problems relating to Spirits, but as you are new to being Pagan, you will find that all of us are in the same boat.

Rocks, Minerals, and Gems are part of this World, and that means they are part of us (some less, some more).

Rose Quartz relates to the Heart, so try it, you will like it.

Just get a polished pebble from a gift shop, and keep it in your pocket, purse, or someplace safe.

/!\

and please be nice to Christians, Jesus had a good message for ALL of us.

Just for once I'ld like to see a NEW / NEO Newbie Pagan ask what Pagan "scriptures" can I read ?

Or should I learn Latin and Greek?

Or is it more important to study and read the Gnostics or Plato or Plutarch or the Homeric Hymns to the Gods?

Crystal meanings?

Oh please that's sooo "NEW AGE"

Playing with crystals doesnt make you pagan or a witch !

Also unless you're psychic and can sense energy channels they will not be much use to you as magical tools !

If you must use crystals for rituals or mediation go away and study your table of correspondences ... you should be able to Google dozens of these!

And why are you no longer Christian?

If you "converted" cos you think you're psychic or something be aware that the Spiritual Gifts listed by Paul in Corinthians include psychic abilities. The modern translation of miracles doesnt make this completely clear!

There are plenty of "white magic / mediation systems you could have used without converting like Christian Qabbalah !

Rose Quartz is the stone of unconditional love and peace.
Heart chakra, brings inner healing and selflove, calming, emotional healer by releasing unexpressed emotions and heartache, soothes internalised pain and heals deprivation.

Physically strengthens the heart and currculatory system

By the way, some Pagans, not all, beleive in spirit possesion too.

I'm so sorry about your family. I don't know exactly what rose quartz does... I use it whenever I want to sleep without dreams. And I have sodalite to calm and focus me- it works better than any anti-anxiety medication that I have ever tried. However, I am atheist, not pagan, so I think I'm using the stones as more of a focus ro help my subconcious straigthen things out.
Whenever I have a question, I make a trip to the nearest new age supply store- or some health food stores will have someone that can help you out. You may find likeminded people in a vegan/vegetarian support group. if you feel like going that route to get some time to yourself.

Okay, from the top:

There are dozens of common minerals, aka 'crystals', each with a variety of ascribed meanings. As far as the rose quartz in particular, it's used to activate the heart chakra, to bring peace and harmony to oneself and one's environment, and to attract love toward you. For the more subtle uses, wear a cute little heart-shaped pendant on a chain or a stretch bracelet of rose quartz beads. Goes nicely with a long-sleeved pink sweater this Fall/Winter.

Look up correspondences when you're in a public library -- either in the stacks or online -- and train your eye to see meaning in everyday things. Magic is mostly mental anyway.

I have literaly a thousand pages of Crystal information. Impossible to post as an answer.

If you have access to a Library, here's a Bibliography of books on Crystal. A begining point for people who are interested in Crystals, gemstones and minerals as spiritual healing tools and for magickal practice. Remember never to take a single author as an authority, but to read several works and then develop your own ideas on the subject thru practice. I am not in
any way recommending these books or their individual authors, mearly compiling source lists.

what kind of pagan? there are a ton of pagan religions (Greeks, romans, Persians, Jainism, Hinduism, Shinto, Slavic Paganism, Egyptian, Baltic Paganism, Finnish Paganism, Mayan, Germanic paganism and like a hundred more)

You need to develop your own relationship with your crystals & determine how they work for you. Any & all books should be disregarded as much as dream dictionaries.
In paganism, no one can answer your questions but you.
