Hello:
Traditionally,tartar sauce is always served with fish sticks,but some people use cocktail sauce or even ketchup if the don't like tartar sauce! ;-)

Tartar sauce, but you can make your own facsimile with mayonnaise and some dill relish and a few drops of the liquid that the dill relish comes packed in. You can get creative with adding sweet pickle relish too if you have it or a drop or two of yellow mustard.

Yes going fishing for the day and coming away without even a bite isnt unusual . Personally my attitude is when i go fishing . If i catch anything its a bonus for the interest .and if i only get a bite on my line well it too keeps the interest alive . But the reality is when i go fishing its just for escapism to drop all thoughts and troubles on my mind for one day as its a relaxing atmosphere being by a lake or river ..... Yes many a day i have came away emptied handed and caught nothing which if i was honest didnt bother me one way or the other... ..
