If I am having cheese fries, I dip them in ketchup.

If I am having plain FF, I dip them in mayo.

Hormel chili no beans with a dash of pace mild picante sauce.

Cut your own potatoes using white russets.

Fry on stove top in canola oil.

Halfway through the frying process when the potatoes are softened cut into them with the side of the spatula that you are going to take them out with. This will break them up and you will end up with a lot of crispy edges.

Only stir once or twice as they finish frying.

There is nothing like home made french fries.
.
.Use the chili/picane sauce as a dip or spoon over fries.

At the state fair, they always have squirt bottles of vinegar.

Vinegar and salt fries are good, and so are ketchup fries, as long as the french fries are good.

If the french fries are poor, mayo or salad dressing is a good idea.

I live in Utah and here there is a sauce that people here are addicted to.. It's FRY SAUCE.
1: one part mayo, one part ketchup (as in 1 cup to 1 cup)
2: one part mayo, one part chili sauce
3: as number one adding some horseradish (that is the original sauce invented by the owner of Arctic Circle chain.

Believe me if Ranch and or Fry Sauce disappeared there would be riots all over the state.
