If you're driving and you're over the limit, sure. A guy I used to work with had a story about someone getting in trouble that way. But for heaven's sake, don't drink so much alcohol that you can't count on being back under the legal limit by morning. You want to have a liver that still works when you're 31 don't you?
Check out these sites for ways to guess your blood alcohol level and how fast it will go down:

And of course, as other people said, it's pretty unprofessional to show up at work exhausted, reeking of alcohol, and hung over or even worse, still tipsy.

If you show up to work with ANY significant amount of alcohol in your system and it somehow becomes known to your bosses, depending on where you work, you will either be disciplined heavily or fired. If you work in certain fields that could affect peoples' safety, you could easily be charged criminally for something like negligence or endangerment, even if you don't actually hurt anyone. If you give your supervisors ANY reason to suspect that you have alcohol in your system, you can be tested on the spot, no matter what your job is.
The worst case scenario is that, if you are still slightly drunk in the morning, you could cause an accident at work or make a serious error in your work. Even if you do something non-lethal like messing up a transaction or making an error on a document, you can incur serious liability for your company and yourself.
If you are involved in an accident at work, in most states your company is required to have you tested for drugs and alcohol IMMEDIATELY. As in, you will go to the ER or a doctor right away and have a blood test. If alcohol is found in your system, YOU are liable for ANY damages - to yourself, to another person, and to your company.
In jobs like transportation or the medical field where sobriety is absolutely necessary, you generally can't drink for 24 hours before the beginning of your shift. Other jobs will usually have set policies - many companies will designate a time limit, as in, you cannot drink for at least 6 or 8 hours before your shift.
Find out what the policy is where you work and abide by it. Please. If you absolutely have to go clubbing, there are tons of non-alcoholic drinks that are yummy and cool-looking. No one needs to know but you, if your pals are shallow enough to think less of you for not drinking. Better yet, save your partying for non-work nights so you don't show up at work on 3 hours sleep, because even if you don't drink, this will drastically affect your performance and make you look bad.

You are young enough to be able to go out and work the next day with no serious problems, but if you drink/drug or stay out until 5am you WILL have problems.
Go out and dance but don't F-up your head with chemicles. Have a drink or two following each drink with a bottle of water. And leave by 1am even if that hot guy is staying 'til close. There willl be another one next time.
After all, you are an adult now so you have to act somewhat responsibly.

Yes, but I've never heard of a company that gives breathalizers.
Maybe you could try something novel here - MODERATION.
Instead of getting drunk, have a few drinks and hang out with friends, then go home at a reasonable time and go to sleep.

They don't need to give you a breathalizer. If you smell of alcohol or appear to be impaired you can be sent home and probably fired. Act like an adult and stay home so you are prepared for work tomorrow.

the legal limit is irrelevant when you take a Breathalyzer for work they can fire you with cause for having a blood alcohol level of .001% if you need your job I would suggest calling it an early night.

Save it for another night, you can go out clubbing a lot of other times. You need to work. But why do you have work on a Sunday, especially on Labour Day weekend?
