Please don't! Your daughter is way too young for her to start learning the defeating message that these contests teach: that being cute is the most important thing they can be. By all means, let her dress up in princess costumes and dance around, but don't parade her around the state like a trained puppy!

Well, part of being a little girl is playing dress up and putting on make-up. Not the barbie look like those poor little pageant girls, but the lipstick smeared on the face fun stuff. I did it when I was a little girl, and my daughter loves to do it too. However, this is done at home.

I am horrified by these little girl pageants! Remember JonBenét Ramsey? There is enough to worry about with pedophiles and kidnapping in this day and age, and it seems that putting your little girl in a pageant is just asking for it. Not to mention the importance that it places on appearance.

It also seems that most mothers that put their little girls in pageants are living their dreams through their children. This seems to be very common. I don't think that this necessarily applies to you. I think that you are interested in finding activities for you daughter that she will enjoy. Be patient as she is only two.

No girl, under 18, should be wearing makeup!!!!!
Do NOT get her involved in pageants! Let her be a child have have a normal childhood!

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh no ......... why do you want to do such of a thing to your 2 year old girl ......... dont you think shes why to young to be in these things ......... she is going to think that you want her to be perfect all the time at such a young age its even going to put stress on her just being herself ............ let the girl be a kid and stop trying to make her look and act like a woman already

Please don't. And stop letting her wear makeup. Sorry if that sounds judgmental but it's terrible to do that to a young girl.
