You'd have to find someone who worked at the factory, since the coleslaw arrives at the restaurants as bags of vegetables and jugs of dressing. They usually have ingredient lists online and at the restaurants, though.

You'll find their recipe at www.topsecretrecipes.com. Some of the recipes cost 79 cents, but the KFC Cole Slaw recipe is free on Pg. 9. I became aware of this site because of answers to other questions. It's fun to scan through it and find some of the items that I've wondered about.
This should help you out. Enjoy your cole slaw.

If someone posts an answer, someone would bound to find out what the secret ingredient was, unless of coarse you deleted this question.

American - probably mayonnaise as in most coleslaws.
Whatever it is in the KFC version ,most coleslaw is shredded vegetables in a vinegar/vinaigrette and vegetable oil mix.

Why don't you gather the obvious ingredients then make some up of your own, I'm sure it would taste much better and you'd have fun making them up. Good luck any way.
