You may be able to keep it on with fixodent denture adhesive or Vaseline might work temporarily. Clean it out really well and let it dry. Use a cotton swab to clean and dry off your natural tooth or the prep. Then place a small amount of fixodent only on the crown part of the actual crown and slip it back into the opening for it. Be careful not to get any material on the post part of the crown, this will need to remain clean to be re-cemented later. You can call your dentist, most have an emergency number available for this very thing. Sorry I couldn't have been more help.

Additional information: Do not use super glue, this material is toxic.

If you stress the importance of this tooth, they will have someone see you. The answering service is told to call the doctor on weekends or vacations "only" when there is "pain" involved. Your dentist may be on vacation but he surely has another dentist taking his emergency patients. You are not his only patient that is needing his services this weekend. That is the reason for scheduling you later, since this is a root canal tooth it isn't and won't cause any pain. Try calling again and stress the importance of this, they will have someone see you.

Whatever you do - dont use super glue. Yes the dentist has the tools but it can cause more damage then good! The stuff from the pharmacy didnt work - the only other thing I know off that works is taking the crown drying it out and then using toothpaste- but letting it get to the gooey stage where it acts almost like a glue and doing that - you have to keep the crown extremely dry and the post extremely dry in order for it to hold. Shocking your dentist wont see you - I'd call again and see if they can work you into the schedule and explain to them the situation.

I am surprised that your dentist will not see you for 5 days!! This is a big deal and not because it is your front tooth. You don't want what is left of your natural tooth to start to move because if it does then your crown will not fit. That is why it is so important to have the crown cemented back in soon. Your teeth can start to move in as little as 6 hours. You really need to call your dentist again. If they still won't see you sooner then you should call another dentist. Good Luck and I hope that you get into your office sooner.

The real question is why do we fall, since things don't move unless they have something to push or pull them. What pulls us, the earth, and everything else are magnetic fields that are stronger the larger an item is and the shorter the distance like a regular magnet. We're pulled to the earth because the earth is big, and the earth is pulled by the sun since it's much bigger but it's also pulled, but less, to the moon too, and everything else relative to the distance and size, to orbit around the sun.

I feel for you... I have a crown on my front tooth too! I would definitely call asap for an emergency appointment. I am very surprised your doctor would make you wait so long. Don't take no for an answer!

Your dentist won't see you for 5 days?????Call again and tell them he or she has to see you early in the morning, or after hours, you can't go 5 days without a front tooth!!! Good luck!

Had the same thing happen to me and I used super glue. I know it sounds scary but it stayed on long enough for the dentist to see me. They have the right tools to pry it off so don't worry about it being too tough for them to remove. Also, before you do this, soak the tooth in listerine for about 5 minutes and let it air dry. Add a small drop of glue. Hold it on there tightly in a pushing up motion for about 60 seconds and you should be good to go.

NO!!! Just kidding.
Guess you have to wait 5 days, or call someone else.
