It's Father's Day here. I have been coudled, tickled, smooched and well wished. My sons gave me the James Bond series on DVD (all of them!), and my daughter made a "speak to the hand" sign for my desk in my office .... I've been weighed and measured... my 17 year old is now ever so slightly taller than me but I got 50 pounds advantage over him ~ my guns are still bigger but he is catching up!

Happy Fathers Day Gaz...

Sounds as if your having a lovely time so far, may it get better and better as the day progresses :)

As someone had previously said in the US it is in June on the third Sunday.

I always gave my older brother a gift on Fathers Day as I see him more of a father figure then my dad.

And now we celebrate Fathers Day with my husband like this...

The kids and I wake up earlier then my husband to prepare him breakfast, after breakfast we do whatever "daddy" wants to do (this year he wanted to go on a "mini get away") so we rented a boathouse and relaxed with the children at a lake by Mt. Shasta...Siskiyou Lake or Mt. Shasta lake http://www.flickr.com/photos/dcsaint/sets/72157594452938746/with/296042649/

I'll look for the pictures and send you some when I get a chance ;)

Enjoy your day :)

The father's day in my country (Dominican Republic) is the last Sunday of July and it's celebrated by giving the dad a gift..., they don't really do as much party and stuff as for the Mother's day. Some man there call the Father's day the Dog's day, lol. Because of the lack of attention they get in comparison to the Mother's day attention that woman get.

Happy Father's Day to you, Icy G. Your children are blessed to have such a manly man for a father! I have lost my father, and my husband, but I always make sure to give out plenty of Father's Day hugs or phone calls to the men that I admire as fathers, including my son. and my wonderful brother-in-law.

I got a new woolen jumper and some instant scratchies and a phone call from my daughter. Nothing from my No 1 son yet. This afternoon we're going to my father's place for afternoon tea.

Happy Father's Day! Ours was sometime in June. I really don't pay attention to the dates or anything. Everyday is father's day for me. Especially, when my little one says "daddy, I love you."

Happy Father's Day to you! Father's Day in the U.S. is in June. Since my Father is deceased and I'm not a Father, it is a non-event for me.

Happy Father's Day, mate! I miss home at these times---crazy Americans, they celebrate in June, lol! It's a difficult holiday for me whenever it comes.

My best wishes to you, and I'm very happy that your family recognizes what a treasure they have in you. You are truly a treasure, my friend. :)

That is funny. Happy Fathers Day to you. It has passed here. We treat our dad's to a day off, or to dinner or buy presents.
You know, all the hoopla that goes with any holiday. Enjoy your day.
