mediumship is communicating with spirit

2007-09-01 14:32:38 · update #1

Darth ... on average , everyone may be able to take about 30 % of a reading , but a good reading should consist of over 85 % accuracy to know for sure that you are with the right person and giving the right information
this is how I was trained anyway

this is a common misconception Ian
no one is summoned
a medium opens to spirit , and only if spirit wish to , will they communicate with us
they have free will and nothing we can do or say will MAKE them do anything against that
your comments are apprecited though xx

I've had about 10 from the internet, 2 from the same person so that must say something...quite spooky at times. About half of them were rubbish, very vague. The last one I got was about 4 days ago, I think this guy was talking in metaphors, although very accurate should the metaphors manifest, but you don't have to be Nostradamus for such things so he did not really have meduimship skills as such, and if he did it was not very spiritual like, not like my angel Yona (and her crystal ball)

I always seek guidence from oops you said mediumship I am referring to spiritual readings...I've had one mediumship reading again on the internet...very accurate...it was quite simply my grandad communicating with her...

Never seen a ghost, but I am very sensitive to their presence, I have even channeled myself, my grandad, and my wife of a past life...

It's absolutely real

However 'Mediumship for dummies'- could not recommend it, sold it

Yes, I have a close friend who is a medium and she 'switches' into Spirit mode for me from time to time.
It's nothing like what I thought it would be. Almost never does she report from an individual who I might have known.
Usually it's advice about specific issues.
It's very challenging for me, as a Buddhist, but, yes, over time I have come to trust most of what she says. I'm not as sure as she is as to where it all comes from.
I do think it's important not to just trust but to be discerning.
Just because a being may exist at the level of the spirit doesn't make them always right.

yeah.

it was a voodoo woman in southern Florida---I am a midwestern boy.

scared the shat out of me---everything was spot-on, including some stuff that NO ONE knows.

I was a bit buzzed at the time...but will never, EVER do that again. I did not sleep soundly for months.

I firmly believe that, while some of this stuff is often BS, sometimes it is true. I have also personally witnessed a satanic priest who drove an adversary crazy and into a psychiatric hospital. I stay the hell away from the occult, because I have seen it work.

I don't mean to discredit the practice because I know it is possible and truthful as to certain entities but I think you cannot speak to a deceased one unless its around the three days it takes them to cross over or because of a special reason. The dead, or should I say the living on the other side, are not waiting for poeple from this side to summon them whenever they please and have a nice chat; they've got more important things to do. This is just my opinion. I respect any other point of view. I know I may be wrong.
I have not had a reading of this kind, though.

my mum is a big fan of this ever since my grandma passed away. She has gone to a few mediums and beleives what they say.

I personally think its disgusting how people can prey on the most deep emotional feelings of a greiving daughter AND CHARGE HER!

One medium told my mum that when i left home i would be back in may and would just turm up whilst she was doing the washing up when i was coming back

I came back in august and i had been planning for about 2 weeks. She picked me up from the bus stop! PAH!

Closest I got happened over twenty years ago. It was in a hall with many, many others. I was picked out by the Medium who asked me what I was studying at university. Now there I was twenty two years old, long hair, looking well scruffy and wearing little round glasses on the end of my nose. (closest I ever got to uni' was stopping of in Cambridge for a curry and a beer with a girlfriend).
He also went on to tell me my Grandfather was dead (okay...both were) and that he was looking after me. So, to cut this long story short, Pangel, that one certainly didn't convince me. But that doesn't mean I can't be convinced. I keep an open mind and leave it up to them to make contact with me. So...is there anyone out there? Mediums, Spiritualists, Ghosties and Spookies...all are welcome!

i know some who read the tarot with a remarkable level of insight, and some who rely on their spirit guides. these are people who are deeply confident in their faith, and always manage to land on their feet despite all that the universe throws at them.

i've never been able to connect with that side of my spirituality, so i've always been skeptical. i trust my friends' experiences, but i'm not sure if it's really the spirit world that communicates with them or if it's an extraordinary level of intuition. i only recently met my spirit guide, so i'm just starting.

I visited lots of mediums, psychics and clairvoyants trying to contact specific people, but none of them were any good. After Jesus called me to follow Him, I stopped because I realised that the spirits that get contacted are demons masquerading as the departed. You believe in God I know, well His word says we must not mess with these things.

"have you ever had a mediumship reading?"- No, and possibly won't now that I'm 48.
I'll check in libraries or bother the living long before the dead, nothing's that important for me to know.

The first reading that I ever had was done by a woman who was a total stranger to me. She picked up a tarot deck, then put it down again saying, "No, the runes are for you". ( I have a Norse background). She told me things that NO ONE knew. When she finished the reading, she asked if I had questions. I was too speechless to ask anything! And I'm seldom at a loss for words! :)
