sometimes, saying you are sorry shows that you are the bigger person. Even if no one knows but yourself! You could say that you don't agree with what is done/said, but you want to keep the peace. Also, that you miss them and want to resolve the issue. This way, you could keep your integrety and still maybe keep the relationship in tact.

I have. My sister is a spoiled brat, and when she doesn't get her way, exactly her way, she runs off tells my mom what a ***** I was to her. (she brought my 2 year old son into her pool when we were visiting her home, and left him in there in an inner tube! I asked her what she could have been thinking, and she said that he was fine, and she does that with her kids all the time, to which I replied, that's fine for YOUR kids, but I love mine, don't ever take my son into your pool) My mother will actually SIDE with her too. Unbelievable! So I told her that I was sorry that I implied that she doesn't love her children. She still has never appologized for leaving my son in her pool.

It depneds on how you were hurt.
If it was sexual abuse, then I would never reach out.
If it was something trivial, then maybe it is time to bury the hatchet.
I do not know what happened but it is your call... However, do not apologize if you feel that they were the one who wronged you. Instead, just talk it out and if you do care for that person, tell them so.

Me personally...probably not! It depends on the situation and what they did or what it was about...If it's just a matter of pride then yes! I would suck it up for the sake of the relationship.

Sure I would. I'd say I was sorry that we fought and that I missed them.
