That's the question that turned me into an agnostic. They each require blind faith, and they each have their own answers for everything, with no reason to believe one over the other. I find it hard to believe God (or Thor or whoever is "right") is basing whether or not we rot in eternal hell on if we randomly select his religion out of the pool of so many other possibilities.
Yes, the Bible prophesied that there would be false religions, but how do we know that the Bible isn't one of them! Surely God would have foreseen some of this and intervened. I mean, why doesn't God just teach us directly? Why did make us pass it on from generation to generation by hand knowing that there was no reason to follow this word than any others? The more you think about it, the less sense it makes.
Religion starting out explaining things that couldn't be easily explained. When we didn't know where light and dark came from, we had the sun god. Now we know that it's a star like so many others, and thinking about worshiping a sun god seems silly. Well now we still don't know where we came from, so we turn to religion. The more we fill up the holes, the less we have to rely on the supernatural to explain them.

There is no right one. Honestly you should follow the religion that makes sense to you. For me, there isn't one out there yet that does make sense. The truth is the many religions is a sign that maybe organized religion isnt the way to go...nd spirituality is really wats important.

You must be kidding, right? There is no One True Faith. That's just silly. How can only one concept of human spirituality be valid? Is the human spirit really so limited that there is only one right way to express it? I will not live with such limitations (not for long anyways). The human spirit is a vast gem with hundreds and thousands of faces. Each face is different and unique, but they all add up to make the gem. One face, alone, cannot be the whole gem. That's extremist, yo.

People came up with different religions their is the only right one but in reality all of them are right. It is right in the eyes of the guy who invented it. You can follow any religion you want but the beauty of it is that you are still right even if you don't follow anyone of them. It is something that you can or can't live without.

There are so many religions because there are so many people. When people can't explain something, they find a way to explain it, usually through religion.
Nobody knows which religion is right, regardless of what visions or spiritual experiences they claim to have had. You just have to go with what you firmly believe in.

God is not a backwards uneducated Hick who only speaks one language. Its a shame so many backwards uneducated hicks beleive that.
They are all paths to God. Get on the one that is good for you. God is not a idiot he is not Jelous Do you realy think a Supreme God would Be Jelous that is just silly. It makes God look like an Idiot.
SO they say if a Dog had a God it would be a Dog.
If your a bigot and a wife beating Jelous and vengefull person there is a GOD for you. Go be a Fundementalist bible thumpin door knocker.
If that isnt for you there are many Christians paths that think God is about Love and accept all of Gods children.
WHAT KIND OF GOD DO YOU DESERVE? thats what you need to ask.

The fact that there are so many is rather convincing proof that religion is created by people; therefore, none of them should be considered to be "right" or a representation of truth.

you don't, so you truely study and compare a few take 3 and in a years time you will know out of the 3 which one best fits your life and beliefs, so you practice that one and study 3 more compare them to the one you are practicing and go on from there but most of all don't judge anyone else for not seeing things the way you do. for as many shades of green in the plant world so are there different beliefs and lifestyles and we can only say what is right for ourselves, and then be strong enough to live a life that will help us be content, not anyone else, so many of us live our lives so that someone else will be content which inturn keeps us off balance, i hope this helps

Religion began as a way of explaning that which could not be explained. By definition, religion is based on faith, so there is no "right" or "wrong" religion. Whatever you believe is "right" to you, and that's all that matters.
