It's a beautiful analogy... why would anyone marry or worship a thing like that?

No, I would not marry a jealous person. Yes, I do worship a jealous God.
Here's the difference.

A jealous person, (I have dated a few in my day) is jealous in their own best interests. The things they do because they are jealous reflect their own insecurities and usually their own wrong actions. Their acts of jealousy are generally spiteful, malicious and very hurtful. They are jealous of you even when you have done nothing wrong... even when you are faithful.

God on the other hand is totally different. He is only jealous when you are not faithful. This is also only an Old Testament reference... before Jesus came God had need for jealousy and wrath because if you did not do exactly as you were supposed to, you would not be with Him in Heaven. Now, Jesus saves us from God's wrath as we no longer endure it, Jesus took care of that for us. That's love. Also, when you are with God (unlike a jealous person) God gives you the desires of your heart. Of course once you believe in Him, your heart changes so stop thinking about that million dollars! ha ha!

No I would Not marry a very zealous person
zealous = jealous.
I chose to love all people as worthy of redemption.
How could I spread that message with a Jerk for a spouse!!?
Yes I choose to worship a zealous God...He is perfect in Love, kindness, forgiveness, faith to lowly humans. forgiveness of our sins!
Much different than a human with MISS PLACED zealousness!
When God said He was Jealous, I can understand the meaning.
See if I created a great work of ART and somebody fu(k3D with it I would be jealous and angry!
God has the same rights as me!

After all HE created the UNIVERSE...so some rights are entitled.... I do not blame GOD FOR BEING JEALOUS OF WHAT IS HIS RIGHT FULL PROPERTY!

And I like the feeling of being a special person protected by God, because as the Creator, He can save/ resurrect me from any
problems because of my faith in HIM!

Yes, for the jealousy of God is out of the nature of unconditional love and mercy and not out of hatred as people do. God is not controlling, he gives you complete freedom in both the physical and spiritual realms of life. Satan is the one who controls, makes sick, holds in bondage, manipulate, accuses, find faults, oppresses, depresses and condemns. He hates and possesses those who are not "In Christ"And he is also jealous and all people belong to him and they don't even know it. But with each passing day while Christians are becoming more like Christ and being created in HIS Image, The people outside of Christ are also conforming in the image and likeness of their spiritual Father, the devil..This is why, Judgment will come and cleansed the earth according to the book of Revelations. I am a Bride of Christ and soon He will return For His Church, so yes I would marry a person who?

No. I hate this kind of men. They are selfish and they want everything for themselves. Once they marry a woman they think she became their own and nobody has the right to use her except them.
No I wouldn't whorship a jealous God and the God I worship now is not jealous.

That would be my first husband, BIG MISTAKE!!!!! It ended when I sent him to prison when he tried to kill me. He also forced me back to that jealous god, that also ended the first night I knew he had been sentenced. I did a ritual of thanks.
)o( Blessed Be!
