I have 3 sons (under 9 years old) and really haven't encountered a problem like this with anyone else before. My b/f seems to not like my children. He doesn't talk to them unless it's to tease them. He tells me what they should do and that I should whip their butts and that if I'm not careful I'll be bailing them out of jail one day. This is so disturbing because my kids are not behavior problems, in fact they are very loving kids and wonderful students. I never say anything about his children so it bothers me that he sees mine in this way when they don't bother him or disrespect him. My gut feeling is that he has issues with kids but what I don't understand is why did he decided to be with me knowing that I had kids. I've also told him never to make me decide over my kids because he'd lose but I can't take it anymore. What does this all mean?

If you cannot put up with the way that he is treating your son's then it is time to let the bf go. It sounds like he is in denial about his kid issues but he really has no idea how to treat kids or give respect to well behaved kids. The constant teasing and bs is borderline emotional abuse. If they turn out going to jail it will be his fault for telling them that they are not worth anything more than that. Get rid of him and find someone who appreciates you and your kids.

When I first got with my boyfriend of 6 years my kids were really bad thier dad was abusive. But my boyfriend was never that hard or bad he was lean but not like that. the kids are fine now. As for your man he just plain sounds like a dick.A mom Knows when she has problem child sounds like you know whats up.So why do you still have him around.
