My eyes are mediumish tone of green. I was just looking at them in a hand mirror (and turning my desk lamp on and off a few times). I noticed there are a few different colors in my eyes. A dark green around the colored part, lighter green inside it, a golden color around the pupil, and a dark brown spot or two inside the colored area. Why does it look like this?

Actually, take note of all your friends variances in eye color.
Most people have different shades in their eyes - it's just easier to see if you have lighter color.
My eyes are medium green with gold and rust flecks in them, and a grayish ring around them.
Oldest sons' are aqua blue with one rust fleck [ teastain ], and a gray ring around.
Husb and second son have plain old green or blue eyes.
TIP:
Those colored flecks look good in eye shadows for you.

It's just your natural eye color! Not everyones eye color has to be a solid blue, brown, or green! You just have like.. a mix!! Good for you!!

apparently you have some form of heterochromia..
not to worry, its just a discoloration in the eye pigments..
my eyes are green as well, yet surrounding the pupils, there's a brown band of color...
simply put, GENETICS.
