I'm getting a first car, and I know that I'm fortunate and spoiled to get a nice car in the first place. Let's just say hypothetically, I have a date in the near future, and I want to pick her up. Which car would she be more impressed by? I always heard girls love Bimmers, but they must like that pure muscle of the Mustang too. Which is it?

But anyway, I'm stuck between getting these 2 cars:

2001 BMW 330ci:

-OR-

2005 Ford Mustang GT:

Let me clear this up:
Of course I know I shouldn't pick a car based on only if girls would like me for having it. Besides, any girl who likes me for my car isn't the girl for me. I'm just doing this for fun, and this is a minor importance to me in terms of swaying my decision at all.

Actually, it's a Bimmer, not Beamer or Beemer. Those refer to the line of BMW motorcycles, not cars:

Theres another problem I ran into, I've been called a pretty boy by tons of people, and I'm a bit of a car enthusiast.

So umm ya, that doesn't help. lol

Another detail, I live in an upper class town, where BMWs are kind of the norm here, and the town is pretty much full of pretty, yet snobby/preppy girls. So if I got a BMW, I think they'd be all over it, compared to a Mustang, which does seem more fun, and maybe I could change them around.

And I do see myself as being a classy businessman or doctor in the future, so the BMW would maybe be better. And maybe the Mustang is too powerful...

If I got a Mustang, is red the only color girls would go for? That seems like the general consensus here. Would a white pinstripe going down it be a good touch too?

To me, the BMW is a much better option. It says more about you. For example, it indicates that you seem like a wise and intellectual person, more of a gentleman yet capable of having a great time. The other car says that you r just trying to be cool and show off and care deeply about the material and physical world. Trust me, I am a girl and we can see a lot through the things guys buy. So, if you want to date someone that is a bit shallow and if you are not looking for anything serious and meaningful, then go for the Mustang. However, if you want to find someone whom you can connect with and have something special and more meaningful, then go for the BMW..good luck :-)

Well the BMW is more of a import and will probably last longer and be more mechanically sound in the long run, although I do love the newer style of the mustang I say go for the BMW...it looks more richy rich lol...but get a standard tranny...I was always turned off by nice sporty cars or jacked up trucks being automatic it seems sorta wimpy...and no I never went after a guy because of his car either but that's just my opinon on it.

They're both hot cars, and a girl will like either one. Look into the insurance rates for both, how much the upkeep will cost, etc.

You'd get more snobby girls with the BMW, who'd expect gifts and special treatment. The Mustang would be fun to drive - but they're fast, so you'd have to be careful about having a lead foot!

Good luck, either car will be a lot of fun.

Frankly, if I were in your shoes, I'd pick the car with the best gas mileage and needed fewest repairs, but I have to admit...as a woman, I'd pick a Mustang over a Beemer every time...just always liked 'em better (it's not one of the best "muscle cars on the road" for nothing!).

And congrats on getting your first car! Enjoy it (hope if you get the Mustang it's candyapple red...TOTAL cool!)!!

2001 BMW has more class. Mustangs are ok but only the classic ones (new ones suck. They look like cheap plastic.)
Get the bmw man.
