They are blinded and deaf to the truth. Muhammad(PBUH*) is mentioned in the Bible under the name of Amman.

Because Muhammed took the Torah and the "New Testament" and altered them and called a religion and came up with very bizarre things.
Christians are not in denial about Islam and neither are Jews. The people in denial about Muhammed are Muslims. Perhaps reading a non-biased history of Muhammed that can be cooraborated would be beneficial. I think he had many more flaws than you might think.
Personally, the way the world is now, I am sorry he was ever born. Radical Islam is doing a huge disservice to the whole planet.

Christians believe Jesus was the Messiah and the son of God while Muslims believe he was just a prophet. Galatians 1:8 says accept no doctrine from man or angels. so Christians do not believe in Muhammed because he got is teachings from the angel Gabriel. On the same lines they do not believe in Joseph Smith of the LDS (mormon Church) because they got their teachings from the angel Moroni and Mormon. Either way it is up to God to decide not me I don't believe there are other ways to heaven besides Jesus but the truth is I hope I am wrong and that there are other ways.

Because Mohommad came some 700 years after Christ ascended into Heaven.Mohommad also started his Religion that was Not a continuation of The Message started By Jesus. Instead the Quran goes off on another tangant talking about Jesus Being Born Under a Tree, That as a Kid he made Clay Birds come to Life, thats he did,nt Die.
Thats only for Starters.

Because Jesus said that once He was gone, there would be false prophets. He said that some would come who had a different message, and we are supposed to beware of them.

Why, that sounds like Muhammed!

I believe Muhammed lived, but that's as far as my belief in him goes.

And it's not "easy" to believe in Jesus. It took me a long time to see Who and What Jesus is and was.

Nobody ever said Christians don't believe in Muhammed PBOH. They believe he existed, of course. What modern christians aren't as willing to embrace is the lifestyle associated with fundamentalist Islam. I admit that ancient Christians tried to spread Christianity by the sword, and that was wrong- but many modern Muslims still use violence to force their beliefs onto their neighbors, and that makes it very difficult to listen to the Prophet's message.

We believe that a man named Muhammed lived. But we do not follow his teachings.

Isaiah was a descendent of Jacob(Isreal) through whom the Messiah was to be born and who was proclaimed a prophet of God by God's word.

Let no man or angel add another gospel. (First chapter of Galatians) Bigger reason is Muslims deny the single most important aspect of Christianity, namely that Jesus died for the sins of humanity and rose again, and that we can take part in his death and rebirth. As Paul aptly put, if Christ did not die and rise again then our faith is in vain and we are still dead in our sins. Bottom line, either Jesus died and rose again or he didn't. One of our holy books is lying. I have chosen Christ and believe he is the Divine plan for redemption. I am not anti-muslim, and have met very peaceable Muslims, but I do not subscribe to their faith. It is void of Grace and it waters down the potency and beauty of Jesus.

Thousands of people were following Jesus Christ for more than 500 years before Muhammed came into power.

Why would people stop following one teaching about God, and adopt another, newer, teaching?
