I'm not sure how one believes in Jesus without following the Bible teachings. How else would you know about Jesus, or for that matter ,believe in him without reading the accounts of his life?

I guess that would put your religion about equal with a demons, because they believe in Jesus, and they believe in God, but they don't follow the Bible which is God's Word, nor the teachings of the Bible, which are God's teachings.
Ouch. Sounds harsh, but it is realistic, and truthful.
The Bible is the Word of God. It contains everything we need to come to know God and His will for our lives.
You really can't say that you "believe" in Jesus, if you don't follow what He said to do. You may believe that He exists. But that is not enough.
Jesus must be your Lord, and your Saviour. If He is your Lord, you will submit to His teachings, His discipline, and follow Him and keep His words.

That all depends on what, exactly, you DO beleive in. If you do not believe ther is a god, you are an atheist. If you aren't sure, and you're not sure you can be sure, then you are an agnostic. Atheist means no god. Agnostic means no knowledge. If you believe that the good earth is our mother, and that all you are and all you have and all you will ever have came from the earth and will return to it when you die; and you beleive we should take care of our mother, the earth, then you are a Pagan. (I state here, for the record, that Pagan should NOT be associated with devil worship. It never had anything to do with that, and never will. Claims that Pagans are devil worshipers and baby sacrificers is a vicious rumor told by the ever-jealous catholics and other christians in order to discredit anyone who wasn't supporting the pope, and the inquisition.)

Religion is a personal thing. You can believe in God, but not follow the bible. What is important is that you believe in something. Believing in Jesus, makes you fall under some form of Christianity. But remember, you don't need a label to believe in God.

The devil believes that there is a God and that Jesus is His true Son He knows them better than most humans do. But the devil doesn't follow the Bible or it's teachings either.
You probably have the same religion as the devil at this time.
Time to get another religion.

What exactly do you believe ABOUT Jesus then?
The entire Bible testifies of Jesus Christ. God uses the Old Testament as a lead-up to him - basically showing the inability of humans to try to justify themselves by the lack of sufficiency of the commandments and sacrifices (all by the way that are a "type" or picture of Christ - see I Corinthians 10:6 and the entire book of Hebrews). Second, the Gospels obviously testify of Jesus' teachings and overall message of repentance and putting one's trust in him for salvation. Third, the New Testament letters are either prophetic (which speaks of Jesus' return and reign on earth) and general instructions for righteous living which Jesus spoke of during his earthly ministry.

this is an exceedingly flimsy argument. Christianity is a faith isn't it? this is not something to be appeared at rationally and desperate upon consequently of a count quantity variety of odds. it is meant to be something this is honestly and infiltrates your very being and touches your soul. you're arguing that I even have not something to lose so why not grant up on my own ideals because of the fact i could be incorrect. you're incorrect too. Muslim, Buddhist, Islam- those religions have an analogous suited on your argument which you benefit this why are you not worried which you have chosen the incorrect path? does not make journey does it?

That's perfectly fine...why on Earth would you think otherwise? If you think there is only one path to God, you are wrong. There are many roads that all lead to the same place, and God doesn't care what road you take, or even if you get lost and take several lifetimes to get to Him.
I believe in Jesus and God, but I also believe in Buddha, Mohammed, Confucius, Lao Tze, and even a bit of Paganism. The God I love is a God of UNCONDITIONAL love, not one that picks and chooses who to love.
Even if you DON'T believe in God, that is fine. God will still love you anyway, and He'll always be there waiting for you.
The people who tell you you're going to Hell are ignorant, plain and simple.
::EDIT::
Oh wow, there are SO many bigots on here tonight...I think it's terrible. They are the hipocrites and heretics. It truly saddens me how closed people are.
To those of you who are saying she's wrong, SCREW YOU!
[I apologize, but I'm terribly sick with the flu and need something to take my anger out on. ; ) ]

The bible says that the demons believe also and they shudder, knowing that their day is coming. You probably need to bring your life into line with the teachings of Jesus.
