i have 2 staffordshire bull terriers 1 is 4yrs and 1 is 11 weeks and my cat has just had 4 kittens, i introduced both to them this week a little at a time(kittens are 3 weeks old) and aslong as you keep your eye on them and correct any bad behaviour from point 1 that the kitten is there the dog will get used to the kitten very quickly, just let them see each other and figure out what is going on and socialise them together as much as you can

It wholly depends on the dog. I've always had a cat and I've always had dogs. Every dog I've ever had grew up with one of my cats and they always got along very well. However I now have a dog that is cat aggressive and I did get it as a young puppy. I've managed to modify the dog's behavior and they do get along now, but this is one dog that has to be crated whenever I am not home. I wouldn't even consider leaving them alone without supervision.
So no. While introducing a puppy to cats at a young age helps with mostf dogs, not all dogs will get along with cats, and socializing has nothing to do with it. It's just the individual dog and individual cat that will determine if they get along and there's always a chance they won't. Might be a slim chance, but still a chance

Growing up I got a St. Bernard puppy and then a kitten a few months later. My puppy carried the kitten around in her mouth like he was one of her own. They did fight, but luckily for cats they can jump on tall things to get out of the way. Depends on the individual pets too.

usually its the other way around. dogs want to play and cat feel threatened by dogs. it mostly just depends on the dog and cat but lots of people have both. i had both and the cat tortured the dog because the dog was brought up not to play in the house so she couldn't chase the cat around -- which made the cat feel victorious.

if you train your dog no it wont hurt it, pls make sure they are always supervised. Dont leave them in the same room alone if you go out for example. I have a dog and a cat, they sleep in diff rooms at bedtime and are put in diff rooms when there is nobody in ( work etc..) but they live relatively calmly together the rest of the time...dont isolate them fromeach other though , regular introductions and lots of praise when they are well behaved together..it takes weeks, even months but it does happen

I honestly think that a dog and cat can be together without hurting each other if they are both well socialized and humanized enough. My aunt had a cat and a dog together and they cat acted like the dog was her mother!
Hope I helped!

The dog is going to be scared of the cat. And the cat is going to be scared of the dog. They won't attack each other but they will probably chase eachother.
