According to the Bible none is righteous, no not one. I don't have to try to sin, I do it all the time anyway, I am a sinner saved by grace. I have excepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. If you would like to be saved and make sure that when you die you go to heaven some day all you have to do is to confess to Jesus that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour, believe that Jesus died on the cross for you and then rose from the grave the third day to be a perfect sacrifice for your sins, If you believe that ask him to come into your heart and save you. If you will do it with a sincere heart he will hear you and save you....

I think that people "sin" when they seek to get their own way and do not consider whether others are harmed or "suffer" from it in any way. For American, that could mean anything in life, because we are so self-indulgent and don't care who suffers as a consequence. We buy things from China even if made by people forced to work in prison or by teen-agers in Malaysia or what ever. I am as guilty in this as anyone, so I guess I sin everyday, because I start everyday with a cup of coffee and don't think of Guatemalans sweating in the mountains to pick the beans. Some of us sin out of neglect for our fellow brothers and sisters. I salve my conscious by trying not to harm anyone near me and trying to make their lives a little better, but as you can see it doesn't work 100%, thank God. I little guilt is good. It can spur us on to better things.

Why would you sin on purpose just so you could say that you had?

Isn't a sin just an excuse so that the easily manipulated people will end up giving 10% of all their money to the church so the top religious leaders can be filthy rich and not give any of it to charity or good cause whatsoever?

I once stole the change slot slider thing to a lighter vending machine in a bar, just because I could. Then I brought it back the following week, but they had replaced it already. I don't remember what I ever did with that thing.
You used to go to that bar, too.

No need. I'm so good at it that I can sin without even TRYING!
Although come to think of it, the one time I got drunk, it was deliberate. I was curious.

No. I think we do it knowing it is a sin, but wishing it weren't, so does that count as a yes?
